Situated in an antique greenhouse used to store lemon trees, part of the Villa Guicciardini Corsi-Salviati in Sesto Fiorentino, the theater has a unique structure in Florence. Elevated chairs with leather seats allow the public a perfect view and splendid acoustics of a stage 12 meters long and 8 meters wide, which permits better reception of theatrical and dance performances. A space for contemporaneity, thanks also to the extreme mobility of the stage and its dynamic characteristics. The Teatro della Limonaia has been specialized over the years as the place for new international and Italian dramaturgy through the Intercity Festival organization, as well as through its theatrical season dedicated to experimentation with language and the better expression of national authors’ work.
